We live in a nation and a world asking questions that only the people of God can answer. During these uncertain times, believers have the unique opportunity to stand for Christ and to share His redeeming love.

 

FAITH Sunday School Evangelism Strategy is a program in which people are taught how to share their faith in Christ in a simple way, to make evangelism and ministry visits, and to share with one another the joy of these visits. The goal of FAITH Training is to encourage people to reach out to lost souls with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

 

It is a fourteen week semester in which members are divided into teams of three for preparation and visitation. Team members are assigned visits in their Sunday School age classification.

 

FAITH meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:00am and Tuesday evenings at 5:30pm beginning in August and again in January.

 

 

Fall semester of FAITH began with our team eagerly anticipating great opportunities to witness and minister.  As the weeks passed, we began to wonder if our attempts were pleasing God.  So often we knocked on a door only to find the resident away or unavailable for a visit.  We left many messages, newsletters, and devotional books without further response.  Sometimes we became disappointed when our efforts resulted in nothing tangible.  Then on Sunday, January 1, two of our "unvisited" persons attended Sunday School.  The following Sunday another "visited" person appeared.  What a lesson we learned.  He only asks us to be faithful; He did tell us to share His story and make disciples, but He didn't say all would be accomplished neatly with one attempt.  He has so much to teach us. FAITH is one of His classrooms in which we can see Him working in and through those who are willing to obey and trust Him.  How exciting to be one of His students.
