musicGod loved us so much He sent His one and only Son to give His life so that we might have abundant life on earth and everlasting life in Heaven. In light of this wondrous love, worship is not only an act of obedience, it’s the only response that really makes sense. Worship is personal and corporate. We have services that are both blended and contemporary so that you can worship in a setting that is most comfortable to you.
 Worshiping, honoring, and giving glory to God is the focus of the Music ministry at First Baptist. It is our prayer that the music we make will help lead the worshipers into the presence of God and prepare their hearts to hear Him speak. Another desired outcome of the music ministry is the joy and fulfillment that we experience when we obediently give ourselves in wholehearted service to Christ. Being a part of a choir or an instrumental group affords the opportunity of being a part of an offering to God that is bigger than anything we might do by ourselves.
The Music Ministry gives opportunities for all ages to use their talents for the Lord, regardless of skill level, training, or experience. There are choirs for all ages from age three and through senior adult, as well as handbells and an orchestra. Major productions, musicals, and children's programs are presented at various times throughout the year, often involving many non-musicians in the church. |
