Giving

FBClogo2016-01

As Christians, one of the ways we honor God and live in obedience is through the giving of our financial blessings. Like any church, First Baptist Tifton relies on the faithful and generous support our members and friends. Without your support we would not be able to accomplish our mission of reaching our world for Christ. Listed below are the various ways you can make a gift to First Baptist:

By Check

Make your check payable to First Baptist Church Tifton. If you wish to designate any portion of your gift, please indicate that on the “memo” line of your check. Then simply bring your check to the church and…

• leave it with the office staff
• put it in the offering during worship
• turn it in during the Sunday School hour
• offering envelopes are available for your use. Contact the church office to request your personalized set.

You may also mail your check to the church:

First Baptist Church of Tifton
404 Love Avenue
Tifton, Georgia 31794

You may also utilize your bank’s computer banking service (if available) to automate your giving. There is no cost to the church when you use this means of giving.

Online

Online giving is available whether you are a guest or a repeat giver. Simply click HERE and you will be directed to our secure online giving site where you may select the fund of our choice and donate whatever amount you wish.

2. If you are a first-time, texting donor you will be prompted to visit our secure URL site.
3. Click the registration link and enter your debit or credit card information.
4. At this point your donation will process.
5. You will receive a confirmation text showing your donation and registration were successful.
6. If you need assistance you may text the word “help”.

TIP FOR FUTURE TEXT GIVING:
If you text an amount, the funds will be attributed to the church’s default budget fund.

Stock

First Baptist Church is prepared to receive your gifts of stock and other securities. We have a local brokerage account and we would be glad to assist you with your transaction. It is our policy to liquidate stocks immediately upon receipt and we have a number of donors who give stock on a regular basis.

Please contact the church Financial Office at (229) 382-6063 if we can assist you with this type of gift.

Planned Giving

Planned Giving utilizes legal avenues such as wills and trusts to facilitate giving to First Baptist for years to come. We currently have over $900,000 in endowed funds that benefit a variety of ministries such as seminary education scholarships, senior adult nutrition, missions, and memorial chapel upkeep. If you are considering a gift of this nature, let us know and we will be glad to assist you in the process.

For additional resources, go to the Georgia Baptist Foundation website at www.gbfoundation.org.

Memorials

Memorial Giving is a wonderful way to honor/remember someone special and to support the various ministries of First Baptist Church. Many people use Memorial Giving to give something extra, above and beyond their tithe, and support a particular ministry of the church. While you are free to designate a Memorial gift, it is not required. Undesignated Memorial gifts are placed in our General Memorial Fund and used as needed by our Memorial Committee.

If you would like to make a Memorial gift, please be sure to include a note with your check that identifies the person you are giving in honor or memory of and the designated fund of your choice, if any. Upon receipt of your gift the church will send an acknowledgment card to the person or their family on your behalf.

For additional information on making a Memorial Gift, please contact the church Financial Office at (229)382-6063.
