Welcome to your first step in an amazing spiritual adventure!
Celebrate Recovery is a ministry designed to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives over any type of hurt, habit,or hang-up. Celebrate Recovery works through learning about the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and a Christ-centered “12 step” program. Through these principles, we can open the door to change and to accepting God’s grace and forgiveness for our own hurt, hang-up, or destructive habit.
Celebrate Recovery is not a quick fix. We do not offer any professional clinical advice, and our leaders and members are not here to “fix” you. You will find here a safe refuge, a home & family, and possibly a turning point in your life!
We hope you will join us each Thursday evening as we Celebrate YOUR Recovery!

What is Celebrate Recovery?
The purpose of First Baptist Church’s Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and a Christ centered “12 step” program. Celebrate Recovery allows us to be changed! We open the door to change by sharing our experiences, victories and hopes with each other. Additionally, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our hurts, hang-ups and destructive habits.
By working Christ-centered steps and applying their Biblical principles found in the Word of God, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors! This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the eight principals and twelve steps, we discover that our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power is JESUS CHRIST.
Welcome to an amazing spiritual adventure!
Celebrate Recovery small groups are a refuge and safe place to belong and learn and share
- A safe place to share your experiences and hopes with others who are going through the Celebrate Recovery Christ-centered recovery program.
- Leaders who have gone through similar hurts, hang-ups, or habits, facilitating the group as it focuses on a particular principle each week, keeping everything on track by keeping Celebrate Recovery’s “five small group guidelines”.
- An opportunity to find an accountability partner or sponsor.
- A place to care for others and be cared for.
- A place for healthy changes and growth that will make you strong again.
Celebrate Recovery will not…
- Attempt to offer any professional clinical advice. Our leaders are not counselors.
- Allow its members to attempt to “fix” each other.
Celebrate Recovery is a place where you can take off your mask but also a place where confidentiality is highly regarded and respect is given to each member. Celebrate Recovery is NOT a place for perfection or secrets, or a place to judge others. Celebrate Recovery is NOT a place to look for dating relationships.
