YOUTH

Sunday School

Each class is designed to help members better understand the Bible and how it applies in our lives today. Bible study begins at 9:30 each Sunday morning and is open to everyone. Trained and qualified teachers will facilitate each class. Beyond the learning experience, the warm, friendly fellowship makes each class an appealing choice for Sunday mornings. The Youth meet in the third floor classrooms near the chapel.

Joy Explosion

Joy Explosion is a youth led outreach focused event for all youth in the community. We seek to create an atmosphere where young people are welcome to come and hear about Jesus Christ. Joy Explosion, which meets each Wednesday night at 6:30pm, features a youth worship band, crazy games, and Bible based talks directed at a teenage audience.

Youth Choir

The youth choir is the primary musical opportunity for middle and high schools students at First Baptist. Enrollment is always open and encouraged for all youth. This choir occasionally sings for worship, but is mostly involved in presenting a musical each fall and spring. Youth Choir meets Sunday's at 5pm in the Choir Room.

Servant Leaders

Servant Leaders is small group discipleship for all youth ages 7th grade through 12th grade. Meeting Sunday Nights at 6pm Servant Leaders study material from the Bible Study Series, “Christ In You”, written by Bill Hughes.

Impact Team

The Impact Team is a deeper level of discipleship for senior high youth grades 10-12.

Youth Staff

The Youth Staff is comprised of college students who are serving in a leadership role in the youth ministry.
